Walnut Creek - Harriet B. Weber Nature Preserve
A 27-acre site consists primarily of wetlands, but also contains prairies and woods. A developer donated the Preserve to LCLC in 1991. Based on a floristic study completed in 1995, Walnut Creek has a diverse wetland plant community with high potential for restoration. The Preserve was dedicated on 10/17/99 in memory of Harriet B. Weber, a longtime member of LCLC who helped encourage the developer to donate the preserve to LCLC.
